Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for the latest edition of WWE NXT on the CW! It’s just a few days before Heatwave, so we must have a Summit! All the folks in the NXT Mens & Women’s Championship matches on that event will appear in the ring together to end the show tonight. We’ve also got a weaponized cage match, a AAA Cruiserweight Championship match and probably some other surprises to check out. It should be a good time!

We’re in Orlando! Vic Joseph & Booker T are our hosts. Rey Fenix & EK Prosper are WALKING! Tony D’Angelo, Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair are WALKING! There’s a steel cage up with weapons all over the ring!

Weaponized Steel Cage Match: Dion Lennox vs. Saquon Shugars: They start fighting right away, Lennox kicks Shugars away, big chop by Shugars. Lennox gets punched down. Chair to Shugars’ back. Another one sends him down for a two count. Dion sends Saquon head-first into three sides of the cage. Lennox removes Shugars’ belt and whips him with it! Big punch by Lennox gets two. Lennox powerbombs Shugars on a chair. Slam by Lennox gets two. Lennox with a trash can is cut off, then he gets the can placed over his head and Shugars hits him with the lid a couple of times. Missile dropkick by Shugars gets two. Booker kinda slipping into his Black Snow persona when talking about Shugars. Chair to the back of Lennox. Shugars misses a kick, blocks a suplex. Lennox slams Shugars on the legs of a chair placed up on another chair! We go Nonstop NXT!

Shugars gets a rollup for two, then strikes Lennox a few times. Lennox whips Shugars and his arm winds up in a chair. Shugars’ head gets stomped on while on the chair. Shugars gets a kendo stick and hits Lennox, but Lennox punches him down and sends him face first into a chair for two. Lennox gets the cane and hits Shugars a couple of times. Lennox rakes the stick against Shugars’ face. Shugars eventually fights out once we go back full screen.

Shugars sends Lennox into the cage three times just like we saw earlier. Shugars is tossed into the corner, he ends up hitting a high crossbody. Lennox hits Shugars with the stick. Lennox propped the stick in the corner, but Shugars whips him into it! Backbreaker by Shugars gets two. Shugars tries to climb up and gets knocked off. Lennox spinebusts him on the trashcan for two. Lennox props more canes up as Rey Fenix watches backstage. He’s propped a chair with them, but Saquon has his bat and goes to town on Lennox. Lennox tosses a chair into Shugars’ knees, then puts him in the Tree of Woe. Chair to the knee! Cover gets two. Dion uses Saquon’s bat for a leg submission, but Saquon breaks it by driving Dion’s head into a trashcan lid. Lennox gets the Slim Jim table out and the fans are excited. Shugars is placed on the top turnbuckle, Lennox follows him up, this leads to an attempted sunset flip powerbomb, but Shugars slips off! Shugars takes Lennox down, puts the table back up and puts a trashcan lid on Lennox. The table snaps under Lennox’s weight! Shugars goes to the top of the cage and crossbodies Lennox for the three count!

Winner: Saquon Shugars (14:45 via pinfall)

Nattie is WALKING! Jaida Parker is WALKING while Thea Hail cheers her on! They’ll have a confrontation next!

Blake Howard is with Tony D’Angelo. It’s been big PLE after PLE for Tony D since long before everyone else got there. He’s the only NXT Grand Slam Champion in history, he put Oba Femi down first. Cruz left TNA for this, Zilla left the Bloodline for this. He’ll see everybody later tonight.

Sarah Schriber joined Vanity Project at the bowling alley. They talk about how they all live together while Myles Borne & Tavion Heights aren’t real friends. Jackson isn’t a great bowler, Myka has slightly more success. Baylor does slightly better, and Smokes gets one of those bowling ramp gimmicks. They’re going to win the Tag Team & North American Championships on Sunday. Sarah joins them in their British hand gesture inspired by Nigel McGuinness. This was funny, but what happened to Emily Agard doing these personality profiles? That didn’t last long.

Nattie is in the ring and says she came here to fight Jaida Parker. She was impressed with Jaida, but saw wasted potential. Jaida has all the tools but no idea what to do with them. Jaida lost, got soft and comfortable. When Nattie showed up, Jaida had to start believing in herself. Nattie gave Jaida her attention, which is the most valuable thing in wrestling. She tells Jaida she’s welcome.

Jaida Parker comes down and tells Nattie that she did question herself, but Nattie obviously didn’t do this out of the goodness of her heart. She reminded Jaida of who the hell she is. She doesn’t want Nattie around, and Nattie should be thanking her for making her relevant again. Nattie wants a submission match at Heatwave, bitch! Jaida will high key wax that ass, and people will chant her name.

Keanu Carver vs. Kam Hendrix: These two had a bit of a confrontation last week in Robert Stone’s office that led to this match, it’ll be interesting to see who the fans back here. Earlier today, Carver had a conversation with Hendrix that made the match happen. Small package by Carver right away. Hendrix with a headlock assisted by a hair pull. Suplex and running crossbody by Carver. Carver decks Hendrix with a punch. Kam bounces Keanu off the ropes a couple of times and clotheslines him in the corner. Forward roll into a clothesline by Hendrix gets a one count. Hendrix kicks Carver off the ropes and puts him in a rear chinlock. Showtime kick by Hendrix gets another one count. Carver punches back. Chop to the back by Hendrix, Carver is mad now. Carver tosses Hendrix around with some German suplexes, then hits the POOOOOUUUUUNNNNNNCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEE! Carver gets thumbed in the eye, while the referee checks on him, Mason Rook runs down and dives onto Hendrix! Back in the ring, Carver hits a Perfectplex for the three count!

Winner: Keanu Carver (3:40 via pinfall)

Kelani Jordan talks about how everyone has followed her path, but she did everything faster. She didn’t need the Indies, EVOLVE, AAA or a group to make her relevant. You might as well call her One-Shot Lani since she’ll just need one shot to beat Kendal for the NXT Women’s Championship. Nobody does it like her!

Kali Armstrong vs. Zaria: If Armstrong wins she’ll be added to the Unification Match with Zaria & Wren Sinclair at Heatwave. Zaria & Kali go at it right away and yell at each other. Headlock by Kali, off the ropes, shoulderblocks exchanged. Zaria wins the battle and slams Kali. Armstrong with a slam of her own! Wren Sinclair watches the match backstage. Strikes in the corner by Zaria. Vertical throw and a splash in the corner, then a back body drop by Zaria. Kali with some punches to Zaria. Zaria gets clotheslined outside. Kali vaults up top and hits the crossbody to the floor! We go Nonstop NXT while Kali celebrates.

Kali rolls Zaria back in the ring, Kali clubs Zaria and hits a kneedrop. Kali with a hard whip into the corner. Running spears in the corner by Kali and a slam gets two on Zaria. Zaria fights out of a chinlock and they exchange sleeperholds. Zaria breaks the sequence with a back suplex and punches away on Kali. Zaria misses in the corner, but manages to chokelift Kali while sitting on the top rope. Kali breaks out and follows her up top. Zaria knocks her off.

We go back fullscreen, Kali vaults up top and hits the superplex! Strikes are exchanged. Zaria with a kick and a headbutt. Zaria goes off the ropes and Kali gets her into a powerbomb for two! Spear in the corner by Kali, then she runs into a knee. Zaria hits a pump kick and a powerbomb for two. Kali & Zaria counter each other, Zaria with a German suplex. Kali leapfrogs a spear and powerslams Zaria. Kali goes for her Konnection and Zaria blocks it with a spear! Zaria goes for the F-5, Kali counters into a rollup for three!

Winner: Kali Armstrong (9:13 via pinfall)

Kendal Grey introduces NASCAR O’Reilly Series driver William Sawalich to the doctor, who tries to dissuade her from competing but still clears her anyway. Not the most convincing speech I’ve ever seen. Wren walks up to them and is all worried about her match being a triple threat now. William tells them to take a breath, and that makes them feel better.

Romeo Moreno, Noam Dar, Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux vs. BirthRight (Lexis King, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Uriah Connors & Charlie Dempsey w/Arianna Grande): Dempsey & Dar start us off with some technical wrestling. Dempsey blocks a kick, Dar evades him in the corner and backslides. Dempsety with one of his own, Dar takes him down into a cover. Dar kicks Dempsey’s knee, Moreno tags in and hits a springboard stomp. DVD tags in, Dempsey takes him down and tags King in. King with some chops and punches to DVD, DVD with an armdrag. Legacy tags in, DVD airplane spins Legacy into King and the other BirthRight members. Stacks in there now, he gets arm dragged over. Connors chops Moreno a couple of times. Moreno fights back, Connors ends up hitting a dropkick. Moreno with a kick, goes for an ankle lock, Dar gets Stacks in one, Dar & Moreno taken outside. DVD & Legacy crossbody Connors & Stacks. Grace with the distraction for a second, but it’s Connors standing over Moreno after a kick on the floor as we go to commercial.

We return and Moreno is hanging in there against Connors while Grayson Waller walks around the parking lot. Stacks comes in for the double team but Moreno dives over everyone and DVD comes in. Rana to Connors, King & Dempsey are sent outside, Stacks gets tossed by DVD onto his partners, then DVD dives onto them! DVD hits the frog splash, Legacy hits the 450 on Stacks for a two count. Dar & Dempsey back in, they exchange shots. Dar with a suplex into an armbar! Connors hits a swanton on them. Legacy with a C4, Stack with a back elbow, DVD drops him, King with the blockbuster, Moreno with the dropkick! Moreno with the big dive! Legacy with big height on a moonsault! Dempsey gets Dar with the Regalplex for the three count!

Winners: BirthRight (7:56 shown via pinfall)

Robert Stone tells a referee (the blonde, I really should know her name by now since she’s a favorite) to have her team on call for the Summit. Carver comes up, Stone points out that Mason Rook helped him win and Carver says a win is a win. Hill wants Naraku next week and Stone agrees to it.

AAA Cruiserweight Championship Match: Rey Fenix (c) vs. EK Prosper: Well, if the last match moved a bit fast for you I’m guessing this one will as well. Some go-behinds, roll up by Prosper, Fenix avoids a kick, near-falls, kick by Prosper, Fenix with an arm drag but Proeper lands on his feet. Prosper & Fenix go back & forth, Fenix vaults on the ropes and takes Prosper over. Prosper dropkicks Fenix to the floor, goes up top, hits the moonsault to Fenix on the floor. We go to commercial!

We return and they exchange some strikes. Fenix tries a double underhook, Prosper kinda hits an X-Factor, goes up top and hits a leg lariat for two. Michinoku Driver gets two for Prosper. Prosper misses a kick, Fenix hits Goodbye Amigo and goes up top. Froggy crossbody gets two. Fenix up top again, hits a frog splash for two. Fenix rolls into a German instead of a cutter. Fenix hits a Lethal Injection on his next attempt. Knee in the corner by Fenix, he goes for the Mexican Musclebuster, Prosper gets out but gets kicked onto the apron. Fenix up top, Prosper on the apron, Prosper vaults up, hits a super rana! The crowd chants obscenities! Moonsault misses for EK! Fenix with a kick in the corner, and the Mexican Musclebuster hits this time for three.

NASCAR O’Reilly Series driver Sam Mayer is talking with Myles Borne & Tavion Heights about their matches at Heatwave. Tavion is fired up, Myles knows how much the titles mean to him. Hank & Tank appear, they were off doing movies and motivational speaking. They’d like a shot at the Tag Team titles. Tavion says they’re focused on one thing at a time and will see them around.

Kendal & Wren are WALKING! The NXT Heatwave Summit is next!

NXT Heatwave: Nattie vs. Jaida in a Submission Match! Wren vs. Kali vs. Zaria! Myles vs. Jackson! Myles & Tavion vs. Brad & Ricky! Tony vs. Zilla vs. Grayson vs. Cruz!

Wren Sinclair & Kendal Grey are the first to make their way to the ring. Kendal heard what Kelani had to say and she is that good. Kelani always makes excuses & complains, and Kendal has picked things up pretty quickly too. Kendal says she’s the benchmark of the division, and could have avoided a lot of stuff but hasn’t. Other champions go hundreds of days without defending their titles but that’s not her. The target will be on her back at Heatwave, and Kelani better not miss.

Kelani tells Kendal to use her good ear to listen. Kelani will only need one shot. The Standout will take her title and put her ass right back on the bench. Wren says they’ll be in her homestate, which calls for a Wren QCC Championship Celebration because they’ll bring home all the gold. Zaria disagrees and doesn’t care how many friends & family Wren brings, she’ll leave her laying again. Kali has something to say, she already beat both Wren & Zaria and did it back to back. Neither of them will go home with their title because she will.

Grayson Waller’s music hits! He says the ladies are great to look at, hard to listen to, but great energy. He’s looking at the 10% in the ring. They used to be the highlight of the show until he came back. They’ll do well at Heatwave, but fans won’t be talking about the women or the AAA losers, they’ll be talking about Grayson conquering his demons and becoming NXT Champion.

Tony D’Angelo doesn’t give a damn about Grayson Waller 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 or 5.0, he’ll do the same thing he always does: be a disappointment. Cruz Montana comes out through the crowd. He asks what’s good. He knew NXT was a bit dysfunctional, but he kind of likes it. The difference between him and everyone else is that they all came here to talk and he came to throw hands. Everybody starts fighting! Security isn’t having much success breaking anything up. Zaria F-5s Kali! Kendal takes Kelani down! There’s Zilla Fatu, and he jumps on everyone on the floor! Zilla, Kendal & Wren are the ones left standing tall as our live event comes to an end. So long for now!
