Jon Moxley survived a war with Konosuke Takeshita to retain his Continental Championship at AEW Revolution and found himself faced with Will Ospreay. Moxley put his title on the line against the Don Callis Family member on Sunday night’s show in a No Time Limit Bout. The match went 23 and a half minutes before Moxley was able to make Takeshita pass out to the choke.

After the match, Moxley and Takeshita got to their feet. Takeshita refused to shake his hand at first, but eventually did and left.

We then got a video package with Ospreay being revived. Ospreay made his return and confronted Moxley. He charged down to the ring and went after him, attacking him before the Death Riders came in. Ospreay fought them off and posed victoriously as the Death Riders retreated through the crowd.

Moxley’s AEW Continental Championship reign now stands at 79 days. He won the title in a match against Kazuchika Okada in the finals of the 2025 AEW Continental Classic at Worlds End on December 27th.

Ospreay has been out of action since being attacked by the Death Riders at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. He was written out in order to allow him to undergo neck surgery.
