WrestlingInc.com reports that WWE Superstar and Good Brother tag team member Karl Anderson applied to trademark his ring name on January 18, 2019 for wrestling and merchandise use. Previously, WWE went to trademark the Karl Anderson name in April 2016, but it was ultimately abandoned in October 2018 after not responding to the USPTO request for action within the required time frame. Later on, WWE applied to restart the application, and the report says that the application was accepted.

– The same report also states that North Carolina State University applied to get the trademark for “Wolfpack” for sports and entertainment purposes. While nothing has taken place as of yet, this might cause an issue with WWE’s own trademark for the nWo version of the Wolfpac. The University’s trademark will be published for opposition on January 29, 2019.

– Additionally, a foreign applicant has also reportedly applied for the “Knockout Sportswear” trademark for “clothing for wear in wrestling games.” This could cause a potential issue with Impact Wrestling, which has branded its female stars as Knockouts.
