Konosuke Takeshita Makes Return, Attacks Kyle Fletcher On AEW Dynamite

Konosuke Takeshita is back on AEW TV, showing up and laying out Kyle Fletcher on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite saw Takeshita make his first appearance since early July, interrupting a promo by Fletcher discussing his match with Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada at AEW All In: London.

Fletcher said that fans were witnessing the greatest AEW International Championship reign of all-time and that he doesn’t expect that to end at All In. He agreed with earlier comments by Okada that family is the most important thing and that he will trust Don Callis, who has said that no matter what the title has to stay in the Don Callis Family. He said however that Okada must realize his role in the match and have his back. He noted that the one thing they can both agree on is hating Takeshita, who he mocked for not winning the G1 Climax.

That brought Takeshita out to the ring, and the two squared off before going at it. Takeshita was able to get control of the brawl and hit a PoisonRana before nailing an Overdrive Knee and Raging Fire. He then picked up Fletcher’s title and posed with it as the commentary team asked where
Okada was.

Takeshita’s last AEW appearance was at Beach Break, where he lost the International Championship to Fletcher. You can see a clip from tonight’s segment below.
