Kurt Angle Names His Favorite Title Belt Design

Kurt Angle held multiple titles in his career, from WWE to TNA, and the belt aesthetics changed a lot over the course of his in-ring era. So which actual title design was his favorite? Turns out it’s a popular one.
On the GTV Network, he declared it to be “the Eagle Belt. The WWE Eagle Belt. Uh that was the first title I won when I beat The Rock for the World Championship.”
He admits, though, that it isn’t necessarily the aesthetics of the belt that make it his favorite, but the significance of how he got to hold it. “It made such a huge impact on my career. uh, that that’s what made me a main eventer full-time. I’m very grateful that The Rock did business and he dropped the title to me. It was really cool to have somebody that stature, you know, do a job you know for for me who was a rookie at that particular time. So I had an incredible rookie year, and beating The Rock capped it off.”
Kurt has thanked The Rock before, but now it’s clear that it rubbed off on his aesthetic taste in belt design as well. Not that he’s wrong — the winged eagle designs, both from the New Generation and Attitude eras, are frequently cited as fan faves.
