WWE Superstar LA Knight spoke to WDSU News ahead of tonight’s WWE Money in the Bank event, explaining his comments from his confrontation with Roman Reigns earlier this week on Monday Night Raw. During the promo segment, Knight referred to Reigns as “the most manufactured industry plant in the business.”
According to Knight, his comments directed at Reigns weren’t complaints, but rather that he’s simply pointed out how Reigns always figured into WWE’s big plans, but Knight did not. Below are some highlights (via Fightful):
On Why He’s Going To Win This Weekend
“I’ll tell you why. So, you know, I just mentioned, and I mentioned on Monday night, I said the most manufactured industry plant in the business, and again, yes, he’s backed that up where he’s actually managed to now finally stand on his own. However, there has never been a more self-made man in this business than that guy right there. I was never in the plans, but I didn’t need to be in the plans, and he makes the mistake of thinking that I’m complaining when I say that. I’m not complaining.”
On How He’s Simply Pointing Out He Went From the Bottom to the Top
“I’m pointing out the fact that, ‘hey, he was always in the plan.’ So he went from here to here. I went from all the way down here to all the way up here. So if he thinks that he can hold a candle to me, he’ll think, oh, LA Knight’s not in my league. No, no. He’s not in my league. Because from the depths that I crawled out of to get here and look him straight in the eyes, he cannot touch me. (gestures to himself on a poster) Most self-made man in this business right there stands head and shoulders above that man, and I’m going to show everybody on Saturday and take the title off him.”
LA Knight gets the opportunity to put his money where his mouth is later tonight at WWE Money in the Bank, where he challenges Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title. Tonight’s show is being held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
WWE Money in the Bank 2026 will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally. You can also check out 411’s official preview of tonight’s event RIGHT HERE.
