Three years after battling Roman Reigns in a one-on-one match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, LA Knight will finally get his rematch at Money in the Bank on October 10, when he challenges The Tribal Chief for the World Heavyweight Championship.

During a recent interaction with Sporf, Knight commented on what it would mean to me if he managed to defeat Roman and claim his first WWE World Title in New Orleans. The Megastar said it’s long overdue.

“Man, I mean… You just said it right there, what I’ve always deserved. So at this point, you know what, we’ve been three years in the running for this whole thing, and it’s been three years since Roman and I went one-on-one. And hopefully, we’ll see if things come out a little different this time. But if that moment happens to finally come to fruition now at this point, I’ll say it’s long overdue. We’ll see what happens.”

LA Knight on what may lead to Roman Reigns’ downfall

Unlike his previous world title reign, Roman Reigns has defended the World Heavyweight Championship without seeking help from The Bloodline. However, Knight believes that could lead to his downfall at Money in the Bank.

“Look, he’s proven himself this year to be able to do things on his own. If he can keep that up, that’ll probably be his downfall.”
