Lady Shani Defeats Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer in Non-Title Match on Tonight’s AAA Show

Lady Shani had a triumphant return to in-ring competition on AAA television on tonight’s show.

The opening match of tonight’s Lucha Libre saw Lady Shani battle reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer in a non-title match. The bout was set up after Shani returned to AAA TV last Saturday and took out Flammer following the NXT Women’s Championship match between Lola Vice and La Hiedra.

At one point, the back-and-forth match looked done and dusted when Flammer nailed a sit-out Piledriver on Shani. However, Shani kicked out at the last moment, shocking the champion.

A visibly frustrated Flammer exited the ring and grabbed the title belt. However, before she could use it to her advantage, La Catalina showed up and snatched the belt away.

This allowed Lady Shani to hit the Backstabber and follow it up with an Iconoclasm from the top turnbuckle to secure a massive pinfall victory over the reigning Reina de Reinas Champion.
