As previously reported, Raja Jackson, the son of UFC legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, legitimately attacked independent wrestler Stewart Smith at the KNOKX Pro show in California on Saturday night. The vicious beatdown went viral on social media. KNOKX Pro issued an apology over the incident, as did Rampage Jackson.
TMZ reports that the Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into the incident after being called to the show on Saturday night.
Smith is said to be “fine and recovering” according to TMZ, while Jackson will not be allowed at any future KNOKX Pro event.
PWInsider notes that KNOKX Pro is affiliated with WWE as they are an official WWE ID School. WWE has, so far, not responded in any way to the incident, but it has been a topic of conversation backstage. The expectation is that WWE will take some sort of action, perhaps distancing themselves from KNOKX Pro.
