Laredo Kid Hopes To Defend AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles In WWE

Laredo Kid says that he’s hopeful that he and La Hiedra will defend the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships on WWE TV. The two won the titles from Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana at AAA Verano de Escándalo, just a couple months after his AAA World Cruiserweight Title reign came to an end.

Laredo Kid spoke with SOTO619 for a new interview and spoke about the title win, as well as his match with Trick Williams at Saturday Night’s Main Event in July. You can see the highlights below:

On His Match With Trick Williams At Saturday Night’s Main Event:

“Yeah, yeah. And I feel so good. I [didn’t] believe when they call me for this match. It’s in the biggest event, like Madison Square Garden. And then [against] US Champion Trick Williams — two great things for me. Now I feel that I deserve it, because I work a lot in this business. And now I’m the [AAA Mixed Tag Team] Champion. And I feel very, very good and proud for myself.”

On More Potential WWE Appearances:

“I hope, I hope. I put some questions on my media socials about, ‘Who do you want to see me and La Hiedra versus who for the belts?’ I think it’s for NXT, Raw, SmackDown, it doesn’t matter. We are ready for everything, you know?”

On Possibly Defending Them Against CM Punk & AJ Lee:

“Yeah, that’s a good option. I hope, that’d be cool. And he’s going to be a good match, you know?”
