Latest On EVIL & Hiromu Takahashi Potentially Signing With WWE

EVIL and Hiromu Takahashi have been tipped to be headed to WWE, and a new report has a bit more context on the matter. As reported, Takahashi announced in February that he was leaving NJPW, where he has been since 2010. EVIL also exited NJPW in January, having spent essentially his full career there outside of a year-long excursion to ROH in 2014.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that EVIL had been tipped to go to WWE since January, and that there were rumors of Takahashi going to WWE before he publicly announced he would be exiting NJPW.
Takahashi said in an interview with Tokyo Sports after his NJPW exit was announced that his goals had not changed, including wanting the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Dave Meltzer questioned whether that might hurt his chances at making it in WWE if they think he may have his eyes on an eventual return to New Japan.
Neither man has confirmed where they will end up at this time. It was reported earlier this week that EVIL is in talks with WWE and wants to start in NXT, as it would help him adapt to the WWE style. He also reportedly wants to bring his established character into WWE.
