Malakai Black is officially a free agent following his WWE exit in April, and a new report has details on his contact with other companies. As noted, the former Aleister Black was among those let go by the company after WrestleMania 42. Black is now a free agent, and Fightful Select has an update on some contact that he’s had.
According to the report, sources indicated that Black had preliminary contaxt with MLW a couple of weeks after his release. According to those familiar with the matter, those talks did not go far and no progress was made, though it was not a matter of anything going “awry.” As of now, those conversations have not yet picked back up.
In addition, AEW sources have said that as of current, there has been no word that he’s returning there. AEW reportedly denied a rumor that they were in “active negotiations” with Black in May when he was still not a free agent.
Malakai Black posted a vignette in early August sporting a new look.
