WWE is reportedly moving ahead with its plans for WrestleMania 43 and WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Fightful Select has the latest update, noting that sources familiar with the Saudi Arabia site of the situation have indicated that they want to make next year’s WrestleMania as big as possible. The report notes that representatives from the country were at WWE Headquarters a few weeks back in order to begin meetings for the PLE.

There has been speculation that WWE could potentially hold off on WWE Crown Jewel, which is set for November, as tensions continue in the Middle East amid the war with Iran. The outlet reports that construction for Crown Jewel is beginning this week in Riyadh and that the event is taking place at the temporary outdoor venue of Riyadh Seasonal Stadium.

Sources indicated that the current hope is that the date for WrestleMania 43 will be announced around the time of Crown Jewelif not before. A WWE source said that the delay in the date for WrestleMania is due to the show being held in conjunction with Saudi Arabia.

Finally, the report notes that a number of independent wrestling companies are waiting for WrestleMania 43’s date reveal and seing if there are other shows that will take advantage of the fact that the big weekend isn’t being held in the US.
