Latest On Concern Around WWE Crown Jewel Amid Middle East Conflict

A new report has some context regarding the internal “chatter” around WWE Crown Jewel taking place in Saudi Arabia amid the Iran war. The PLE is currently set to take place on November 7th in Riyadh. However, as previously noted, US Department of State issued a level three travel advisory for Saudi Arabia earlier this month, advising citizens to reconsider traveling to the country. Some areas of the country are under a level four advisory, which means that US citizens are advised to leave the country.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, several people within WWE who regularly travel to the country for their events there have been asking internally about any potential changes or rescheduling of Crown Jewel given the conflict and concerns about travel. The matter is said to be a source of “large concern” in talk backstage and at WWE Headquarters.

As of now, WWE has yet to formally acknowledge the matter to staff. There has been no indication publicly that they will be changing the date or location; WWE is committed to November 7th for a PLE for ESPN.
