Kyoki (w/ Shinsuke Nakamura) vs. Axiom (w/ Nathan Frazer)

-This could fun! Can we get a tag match at some point? Lockup and Kyoki works the arm. Axiom flips out, but Kyoki gets a head scissors. Axiom lands on his feet and gets his own. They trade running knees. Kyoki with a roll-up for two. Axiom springs off the ropes with an arm-drag and then another dropkick for two. Axiom with chops and Kyoki begs to be chopped again. They start trading chops and Kyoki hits a clothesline in the corner. Kyoki blocks a kick and gets a dragon screw. To the corner for more chops. Another one drops Axiom. Kyoki is enjoying himself out there as he keeps unloading with chops. Axiom blocks a punch and hits a dropkick. Half and half suplex has Kyoki rolling to the floor. Axiom with a suicide dive. Back in Axiom delivers a head kick as they battle up top. SPANISH FLY gets two. Golden Ratio misses and Kyoki hits a running clothesline. Timebomb finishes at 4:42.

Winner: Kyoki via pin at 4:42
-Fun little match. Wish they got a little more time, but this is Main Event so we take what we can get. **3/4

-Axiom and Kyoki shake hands after the match.

-Money in The Bank! Nola! 9 days away!

Maxxine Dupri (w/ Austin Theory) vs. Chantel Monroe

-Chantel is from Evolve and was part of LFG this season. Weird seeing Maxxine as the veteran in the match. She gets a quick roll-up for a one count and then talks down to Chantel. Another one, but Monroe reverses for her own roll-up. That gets two. Arm-drags from Monroe. She floats over in the corner and gets a trip. Knee to the jaw gets a two count. Monroe with the mounted punches in the corner as the crowd counts along. Theory distracts the ref, which lets Maxxine gain the advantage. Maxxine with knee strikes and a clothesline. Fisherman’s Suplex followed by a kip up. She pulls the straps down and chokes Chantel on the ropes. Hard whip to the corner gets a two count. The crowd lets Theory know that he sucks. Maxxine with a reverse chinlock and that goes on for a bit. Maxxine goes Cap on us as she notes “I can do this all day.” Chantel starts his comeback and hits a running elbow in the corner. Perfect neck snap! Theory slides in the ring to distract again. Maxxine pulls Chantel down by the hair and hits Maxxed Out for the pin at 4:57.

Winner: Maxxine Dupri via pin at 4:57
-This was okay but that reverse chinlock went longer than needed. Maxxine continues to improve and good to see Chantel get a chance like this. **

Otis (w/ Tozawa) vs. Naraku

-Yep, we are getting OTIS VS. EVIL on Main Event. This is why I enjoy this show. They can just pull out a random match like this. The crowd loves Otis, but that’s expected. Otis uses his power and shoves Naraku across the ring. Another lockup and Naraku tries a go behind, but Otis swivels the hips to break. He runs Naraku down with a shoulder tackle. Naraku catches Otis on the apron by pulling him down across the top rope. That puts Otis on the floor. Naraku sends Otis into the stairs as Howard notes Naraku has an evil side. I see what he did there! Back in the ring Naraku gets a Senton for two. He hooks a reverse chinlock but thankfully the crowd gets behind Otis and the hold is broken quickly. Otis eats a series of forearms and chops and wants more. He fires up and starts a comeback. Back elbow lands. Slam by Otis, but he misses a charge in the corner. Naraku attacks Tozawa on the floor and sends him into the post. Naraku off the top with a clothesline for a two count. Otis blocks a standing STO and gets a modified World’s Strongest Slam. CATERPILLAR gets the pin at 5:05.

Winner: Otis via pin at 5:05
-I was hoping for a little more. That ending kind of came out of nowhere as well. It was okay. **

-Thanks for reading!

The final score: review Good

The 411

The usual solid show as it's kind of hard to mess up a 30-minute show with three matches. You know what you are getting with Main Event as far as match quality, but the fun is seeing who gets called up for a match and the random pairings we get. The opener was fun and the other two matches featured NXT vs. Main Event veteran. It's thirty minutes and an easy watch.
