Lil Yachty has fallen in love with working for WWE and says he’s trying to go full-time with it. The rapper has been working with WWE since before WrestleMania 42, partnering with Trick Williams. He had a match with Baron Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event in early September when he lasted five minutes with Corbin and thus won Williams a US Title shot, which Williams won.

Lil Yachty Complex News for a new interview and spoke about his work in WWE. Yachty noted that it’s difficult balancing his music and WWE work and that it’s made it harder for him to get a full album out.

The rapper also noted that things are much more disciplined in WWE, which is something he loves to the point he wants to try and go “fill-time” with his WWE run. You can see the highlights below:

On the Delay In His Next Album:

“I don’t have that time right now anymore. I haven’t since [his last album] came out to sit and make this X, whatever this project is called. I have hundreds of songs, but I don’t be having that time. You need stints of time to dial in s**t. What I’m trying to do, [the] s**t I’m trying to do in that room, the things that I’ve been making? I need days and weeks to dial it in.

“And it’s difficult when you do like a week and a half here, two weeks in three months. It’s just difficult, man. You got a lot of s**t going on. You got wrestling, that’s every week. Smackdown’s every Friday, you know? Kid, you know? Just everything under the sun. It’s like, just finding time to sit and make an album isn’t easy.”

On the Correlation Between Music Performing & WWE:

“No correlation [between wrestling and performing music]. It’s so much different, it’s so much more militant you gotta be in WWE. This is like, my show; I call the shots, I make the rules, I do what I want. WWE, it’s like — it’s time, it’s cameras… producers. It’s so different. It’s like militant, and you gotta be on your s**t.

“And like — I always talk to wrestlers about this: You just don’t have the leeway you have. I can go up there and talk s**t, f**k up, man You got X amount of time, and you gotta make everything count and you gotta captivate that audience. You don’t see them again till next Friday. And you got a real small time in your segment to get your point across, your message across and be remembered for six more days until next Friday. And hope that you captivated so good that Friday that, in them six days, you’re back on TV again. If you f**k up or you do some bulls**t, you might not be on TV that next week. It’s a lot more militant and disciplined, and I love it, man.”

On Hoping To Go Full-Time With WWE:

“If I go full-time — I’m trying to go full-time — I won’t ever put an album out ever again… Bro, if I climb the ranks in WWE and get the checks that I want, this music s**t can kiss me goodbye. I swear to God. I will be back flipping, getting thrown through tables and whatever else until my body give out on me.”
