Liv Morgan Advances to Queen of the Ring Finals on WWE Smackdown

Liv Morgan is heading to WWE Night of Champions, winning her Queen of the Ring semifinal match on this week’s WWE Smackdown. The main event of Friday’s show featured Morgan battling Charlotte Flair in a semifinal match in the tournament.

The match went just a hair under 19 minutes and saw Morgan target Flair’s knee for much of the bout, which was weakened when Jade Cargill and her Baddies attacked her backstage just before the match. Flair ended up on the floor at the end as officials and Alexa Bliss checked on her, but Morgan pulled Flair back onto the apron. Flair snapped Morgan’s head on the ropes but Morgan was able to recover in time to hit an Oblivion. Flair was able to kick out, but Morgan applied a half Boston crab to force Flair to tap out. Morgan will face IYO SKY in the finals of the tournament. SKY defeated Raquel Rodriguez in their semifinal match. The winner of the tournament will earn a world title match at WWE SummerSlam.
