Lyra Valkyria Claims Sol Ruca Doesn’t Have Mental Strength to Recover After Losing Women’s IC Title

Lyra Valkyria recently took major shots at Sol Ruca, claiming that the latter does not have what it takes to recover from a huge defeat.

As noted, Raquel Rodriguez dethroned Sol Ruca as the Women’s Intercontinental Champion on the July 27 episode of Monday Night RAW.

Speaking to Contralona recently, Lyra claimed that she knew in advance that Sol would ultimately lose the title. She reflected on her journey after losing the same title to Becky Lynch last year, claiming that Ruca doesn’t have the mental strength to recover from such a defeat as she did.

Here’s what Lyra Valkyria said:

“It’s kind of crazy. You know, I knew Sol Ruca would lose the championship eventually, because, you know, everything was going so great for her, and I know what it’s like to be that person. I was all smiley and happy when I came up and won the title as well. But eventually something’s going to happen, and a loss like that can really change a person.

‘I don’t think she’s as strong as me mentally, so I don’t know if she can handle it. I took losing my championship and became better. I don’t think she can do the same thing. So I actually would have beaten her eventually. But now, I’m just going to have to beat Raquel.”
