It appears Marie Malenko might’ve signed with a pro wrestling company. As previously reported, Marie Malenko, the daughter of wrestling legend and former WCW and WWE star Dean Malenko, recently had a WWE tryout last month. Additionally, she made her Pro Wrestling NOAH debut earlier in the month at the Monday Magic event.
Malenko referenced his daughter signing with an unnamed promotion during a recent virtual signing with Signed by Superstars (h/t Fightful). During the session, it was mentioned that Marie signed with a wrestling promotion, but it wasn’t said which one.
Dean’s rep stated, “Coming soon, his daughter. Hopefully… Haven’t technically signed yet, but it’s in the works.” Dean then responded, “Hopefully.” The former WCW United States and Cruiserweight Champion was also asked if he wanted to reveal where Marie is signing, and he replied, “No.”
Later on, Dean also joked about his daughter stealing designs from his ring attire, stating, “I have many (ring gear) designs. Actually, my daughter’s stealing my design now. Yeah, little creep.”
It’s unknown if Marie Malenko has signed with WWE. Dean Malenko eventually transitioned to a career behind the scenes as a producer for WWE. Following his WWE exit, Dean Malenko joined AEW as a senior producer. He’s still currently a part of the promotion.
