Mark Briscoe is celebrating 26 years in professional wrestling today, and he paid tribute to his late brother Jay in a post on social media. The Briscoes had their first match on May 20th, 2000, and Briscoe posted to Twitter this morning to commemorate the moment.
The AEW star shared a photo of himself and Jay backstage after a match with the ROH World Tag Team Championships, writing:
“Happy 26 years dawg
#demboys”
The Briscoes held the ROH World Tag Team Championships 13 times in their career. Their final run was cut short when Jay tragically passed away in January of 2023 as a result of a fatal car accident. Mark has gone on to find success in both ROH and AEW. He has had reigns as ROH World Champion and the AEW TNT Champion. He is set to battle Tommaso Ciampa in an Anything Goes Match on tonight’s three-hour episode of AEW Dynamite and Collision.
