Mark Davis & Jake Doyle Win Shot At World Tag Team Titles On AEW Dynamite

Mark Davis and Jake Doyle got their first match as a team under their belt on AEW Dynamite, and it made them #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Davis and Doyle defeated The Young Bucks, GOA, and JetSpeed on Wednesday’s Maximum Carnage episode of Dynamite to earn a shot at the titles.

The match came to an end when Bailey went to hit a hurricanrana on Jake Doyle. However, Doyle caught Bailey and threw them into the other competitors on the floor. Doyle then tossed Kevin Knight to Davis who hit a piledriver for the victory.

After the match, FTR came down to the ring with their titles. Davis and Doyle went on the attack and it quickly turned into a brawl until security came in to break it up.

Doyle made his AEW debut on last week’s Dynamite. The former Jake Something appeared as Davis’ new partner now that Kyle Fletcher has moved onto singles competition.

You can see highlights from the match below. No word yet on when Davis and Doyle will get their title shot against FTR.
