Mason Rook Revealed To Be Using Mason Ryan’s Old WWE Entrance Theme

If you thought Mason Rook had a familiar-sounding WWE NXT entrance theme, that means you remember a different Mason in WWE — namely, Mason Ryan. As noted, Rook — the former Will Kroos — signed his WWE NXT contract on last night’s episode of NXT. Rook came out to the ring with an entrance theme and video, and was confronted by Tony D’Angelo before he eventually signed his contract.
Sharp-eared fans on Twitter recognized Rook’s theme song as familiar, with one pointing out that the song is “Grizzly” by Peter Jay Jordan. That song was used by Mason Ryan, who was with WWE from 2009 to 2014 including a short-lived run on the WWE main roster where he was put in a few high profile matches and was part of the “New Nexus.” He has since retired from the ring and joined Cirque du Soleil in 2016.
Mason Rook is set to team with Kam Hendrix in a match against Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne on next week’s episode of WWE NXT.
