Matt Cardona vs. Mike Santana Title Bout Still Scheduled for Today’s ACW Poughkeepsie Rumble Event

Matt Cardona made his epic WWE return last night on SmackDown, where it was announced by Michael Cole that Cardona has officially signed with WWE. However, it looks like Cardona will be maintaining one of his previously scheduled indie wrestling dates in Awesome Championship Wrestling (h/t Fightful).

Cardona was previously scheduled to face TNA Wrestling star Mike Santana, defending the ACW Title against the wrestler. Based on recent social posts from ACW, the match is still moving forward and being promoted, so it looks like there are no issues with Cardona fulfilling the existing indie wrestling commitment.

ACW’s Poughkeepsie Rumble takes place later today at the MJN Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.
