Matt Jackson Looks Back at Young Bucks Being Granted TNA Releases In 2011

The Young Bucks worked as Generation Me in TNA from 2009 to 2011, and Matt Jackson recently reflected on their decision to seek releases at that time. Matt and Nick Jackson worked as Max and Jeremy Buck in TNA, and they exited following Destination X in July 2011 after asking for their releases, which were granted.
The Bucks would of course go on to join NJPW, where they would rise to become members of the Bullet Club and eventually leave with Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes to form AEW with Tony Khan. The team spoke with Justin Barrasso for Undisputed and during the conversation, Matt spoke about their decision to exit TNA.
“Call it blind confidence, or young arrogance, we just saw something in ourselves that they did not, and we had the courage to make a change,” Matt said.
The Bucks will battle Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay in tag team action at AEW Redemption, which takes place on Sunday from Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec and airs live on PPV, HBO Max domestically, and MyAEW internationally.
