Matt Riddle Gets Into Physical Altercation With Fan at BRCW Show

Word has surfaced that wrestler Matt Riddle got into a physical confrontation with a fan at a Boca Raton Championship Wrestling event over the weekend. F4WOnline.com reports that the incident took place on Sunday (March 1). In a video posted on the Instagram account of James Michael Oja, Jr., Riddle is seen going up to Oja, who is in the front row behind the barricade.

Matt Riddle was wrestling Stallion Rogers at the event when the action went to the outside before the incident between the former WWE Superstar and Oja. After Riddle says something to Oja, he shoves him aside in the face. It’s not exactly clear what provoked or started the incident.

Oja’s account bio reads, “Best supervisor on the planet… do y’all even do construction?” The caption of the video for the incident between Riddle and Oja reads, “Hide behind a barricade, you cheap shot sissy #bigdaddyalphasupervisor #constructionworker #wrestlingmemes #wrestlingfans #indiewrestling.”

F4WOnline reports that Oja has issued challenges online in the past to various pro wrestlers, including Riddle, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and AJ Francis. You can view the clip that Oja shared on his Instagram account below.

Riddle was previously released by WWE in September 2023 following an incident where he accused a Port Authority police officer of sexually assaulting him while he was at JFK Airport on September 10. Additionally, he reportedly failed multiple drug tests in 2022, leading to Riddle entering rehab.
