McKenzie Mitchell did the ring announcing for the Dudleys and Hardys’ last match at TNA Bound For Glory, and she reflected on what that meant to her. Mitchell was the ring announcer for Bound For Glory, where the two teams had their last match. She spoke with Scott Fishman for SEScoops and spoke about the PPV; you can see highlights below:

On Bound For Glory:

“I think there was a lot of — anticipation is a great word to really sum up what the weekend truly was for TNA. We’ve seen this resurgence if you will, that people were talking about TNA. They’re talking about what we’re doing. They’re talking about where we’re going. I was in TNA from 2016 to 2019 when we were at Universal, and we were doing the little soundstages. And then TNA had this moment of like a little dip, and then they’re back up and they’re elevating themselves more than ever.

“And to be standing in the ring at Bound for Glory in Boston with nearly 8,000 people, Sometimes it’s just — you don’t take the moment to stop and really truly look around and look at what is happening in front of your eyes. For me, it was a moment to just get to soak everything in.”

On Ring Announcing the Dudleys vs. Hardys Match:

“You talk about the one final tables match with The Hardys and The Dudleys. Like, that will — that is the last time that those those two iconic tag teams will be in the ring together. And I was lucky enough to be a small part of that. And I wanted to really — I told Bubba this the other day, that I wanted to really do them justice. [Justice] of their careers and everything that they’ve done, and putting on their their bodies on the line year after year.

“So for me, I was very lucky. I was very honored to be a part of that. And again as I talk about, you have to sometimes in wrestling — it moves so quickly. Things go and then there’s the next show, and there’s the next Raw, there’s the next TNA taping, like there’s the next moment. But for Bound for Glory, before I did the announcement for the Dudleys and then The Hardys, I just stopped and looked around and saw everyone on their feet for this moment. It was really an opportunity to get to pay respect to them, and so cool that I was just a small part.”
