Willow Nightingale went into her title match at today’s AEW All In: London at an extreme disadvantage, competing in the match with a broken hand. However, she still delivered a valiant effort against her challenger and bitter rival, Mercedes Mone. Unfortunately for Nightingale, it was still not enough, as Mone defeated her and captured the title.

Despite Nightingale putting up an intense fight for over 21 minutes, Mone eventually secured the Statement Maker on her opponent. Nightingale attempted to break the hold and grab the ropes. However, Mone further secured a cutthroat variation of the submission.

Nightingale ultimately passed out to give Mone the win and the belt. With the victory, Mercedes Mone wins the first AEW Women’s World Title of her illustrious career. She previously defeated Nightingale to win the TBS Championship. The two wrestlers are now 2-2 in their series. Nightingale’s title run comes to an end after five weeks (35 days).

As another note, former AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla was seen in the royal box seats, observing the title bout. It looks like Thekla was scouting the competition and will be looking to potentially regain the title sooner rather than later.
