Mercedes Mone has announced that she will be taking a break from AEW. On tonight’s episode of Collision, a vignette aired in which The CEO lamented her recent downfall.

Mone was dethroned as AEW TBS Champion by Willow Nightingale at Dynamite: New Year’s Smash. The AEW star reflected on her 584-day reign, claiming that the reason she was able to hold the title for that long is that she is “undeniable.”

The 33-year-old claimed that ever since she joined the Tony Khan-led company, all she has received is disrespect, and to teach his peers a lesson, she has decided to step away from weekly programming for an indefinite period.

Mone went on to wish good luck to his adversaries, declaring that once she returns, titles are not the only thing that she will collect.

“You wanna smile and laugh and play hero? Well, heroes don’t build divisions; icons do. Over 500 days, I held that championship, not because I was lucky, but] because I was undeniable. I was the greatest. I was PWI’s No. 1 wrestler of the year. Sports Illustrated’s No.1. It doesn’t matter what year it is; I’ll always be the greatest.

“You know what? Ever since I arrived at AEW, I’ve been shown nothing but disrespect. I’m so sick and tired of the disrespect around here. To show you bi**hes a lesson, I’m taking a break from AEW to show you why and how I elevated, and good luck without me. Because when I return, I’m collecting more than just titles,” Mercedes Mone said.
