As previously reported, NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 21 card at the Tokyo Dome in January 2027 is starting to take shape. It’s going to be a stacked event, with multiple AEW stars competing in marquee matches. However, one wrestler who isn’t yet scheduled for the card is AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné.
Earlier today, Moné responded to a fan on X commenting on the lineup. The fan wrote, “I pray and hope Mercedes Moné is working on this show.” Moné later wrote in response, “Me too.”
Mercedes Moné competed at the Tokyo Dome in January 2025 at the co-promotional event, Wrestle Dynasty. She beat Mina Shirakawa in a winner-takes-all match for the NJPW Strong Women’s title and the Undisputed British Women’s Title.
Moné is also a former IWGP Women’s Champion, becoming the second woman to ever hold the belt when she won it at NJPW Battle in the Valley 2023 in San Jose, California.
The World Champion last wrestled at AEW WrestleDream 2026 last month. She defeated former champion Thekla to retain the AEW Women’s World Title.
