Mike Bailey Wins International Title Shot In AEW Redemption Ladder Match

Mike Bailey has a shot at the AEW International Championship, winning a title shot in the ladder match at AEW Redemption. Bailey defeated The Beast Mortos, Nick Wayne, El Clon, Jack Perry, and Komander in the opening match of Sunday’s PPV.

All six men were on a trio of ladders in the ring at one point, with the various challengers falling away until Beast Mortos was alone. He tried to climb but Perry came back in and knocked the ladder over. He brought out several tables that saw several people put go through them, including Komander walking the ropes for a moonsault dive onto Nick Wayne.

Mortos sent Parry into a ladder in the corner but was taken out by El Clon coming off the ropes. Clon took out Komander but was laid out by a Nick Wayne Crucifix Driver, followed by a Phoenix Splash off a ringside ladder through a table.

Wayne and Perry fought atop a ladder in the ring and Jerry hit a Canadian Destroyer onto a horizontally set up ladder. That gave an opening for Bailey, who took out Mortos and climbed up to grab the contract.

You can see clips from the AEW Redemption match below. Bailey will now face the winner of tonight’s International Championship match between champion Kyle Fletcher and challenger Bandido. No word as of yet on when that match will take place.
