New Signee Mike Derudder Works Dark Match Before WWE NXT

Mike Derudder worked his first match in front of a WWE NXT crowd in a dark match before this week’s episode. As reported late last month, Derudder — previously known as Mike D Vecchio — joined WWE as part of the latest Performance Center class. As noted from fans in attendance on Twitter, Derudder worked a match before Tuesday night’s taping.

Derudder battled Drake Morreaux before the show. You can a clip from his entrance below.

Derudder has worked for a number of promotions over his 12-year career. This year saw him work for AJPW, wXw, Progress Wrestling, RevPro, and more. His most recent match before joining WWE was for BodyZoi Wrestling Factory in Belgium. He defeated Adam Frost, Ricky Sosa and Amedeo at that show.

Also announced as part of the latest PC class were Jaime Garcia (Zozaya), Dusan Novakovic, Cyril Coquerelle (Aigle Blanc) and Nathan Cranton (Nathan Angel).
