MJF Reportedly Undergoing Very Busy Schedule This Month

Fightful Select has an update on the busy schedule of AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), as he has commitments to AEW, CMLL, and a new movie role. On top of that, he just got married and hasn’t even celebrated his honeymoon yet. As noted, MJF landed a big movie role in Universal’s Violent Night 2.

Fightful reports that MJF is currently in Winnipeg filming Violent Night 2, and as a result, he will not be appearing on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. The former AEW World Champion also just got married to Alicia Atout on September 5. He then quickly traveled to Philadelphia on September 6 to appear on AEW Collision, and shortly after that he, he traveled to Winnipeg to start working on Violent Night 2.

On top of his filming obligations for Violent Night 2, MJF is scheduled to fly to Mexico City this weekend to headline the CMLL Anniversary show, where he will face Mistico. Additionally, MJF still has a huge matchup against Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out 2025, which takes place on September 20 in Toronto.

Additionally, Fightful notes that MJF will resume filming of Violent Night 2 in Winnipeg following AEW All Out in Toronto. The upcoming sequel is due to arrive in theaters on Wednesday, December 4, 2026.
