MJF is still your AEW World Champion, retaining his title against RUSH in the opening contest of AEW Dynamite. Wednesday night’s episode saw RUSH challenge the Salt of the Earth for the World Title in the first match.

Before the match itself happened, Renee Paquette was interviewing RUSH backstage who talked about how he was ready to win the title. MJF showed up and slapped his opponent, and security broke it up.

The match itself went 18 and a half minutes, and came to an end when MJF avoided a missile dropkick before applying a crossface. RUSH fought it but eventually passed out rather than submit.

After the match, MJF went to hit RUSH in the head with the title but Mark Briscoe came out. Briscoe nearly hit the Jay Driller, but MJF escaped and hit a low blow kick. The Conglomeration came down for the save.

You can see clips from the AEW Dynamite match below. MJF’s title reign, his third, stands at 10 days. He won the title from Darby Allin at AEW Double or Nothing.
