As previously reported, Jazmyn Nyx has been open about her WWE exit, explaining why she opted to leave. In a video she shared on her social media accounts, she indicated that WWE offered her a new three-year contract that “just wasn’t going to cut it” for her financially. Fightful Select has more details on her recent exit after learning new information from NXT staffers, agents, and talents.

As noted earlier, when a fan questioned why Nyx would turn down a new contract offer where she would’ve made between $80,000 to $150,000 a year, Nyx later responded, “If I was making that, it would’ve been great!” According to Fightful’s report, WWE sources confirmed that while they wanted to retain Nyx, they were unwilling to move from their new contract offer to the wrestler. Additionally, multiple sources claimed that Nyx’s NXT contract was at about $75,000 a year, which is said to be the same amount that was offered for her new multi-year contract that she rejected.

Fightful notes that the outlet was not told if Nyx’s contract would’ve escalated over time. NXT talents can make significantly less money than when they were recruited or first brought into the WWE developmental system. However, Fightful does note that there are some wrestlers on the NXT roster who are making in the six-figure range, and some who are making above the main roster minimum, which is reportedly a base pay starting at $350,00 a year, based on comments from NXT staffers, talents, agents, and more.

One WWE NXT talent who spoke to Fightful indicated that Jazmyn Nyx was likely making less than $60,000 a year from her contract after taxes, and she still incurred expenses for items such as her wrestling gear.
