More Details On Will Ospreay Needing Neck Surgery

As previously reported, Will Ospreay announced on AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday that he will need neck surgery, and that is said to be 100% legitimate. He is expected to have the surgery soon, presumably after his match at Forbidden Door on Sunday. That last part is unconfirmed, however.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Ospreay needs surgery on his C-2 and C-6 discs, which are both herniated and pressing into his spinal cord. It was noted that the fact that he isn’t cleared for Forbidden Door is really the only part of his promo that was storyline, as he really does need surgery and is still going to wrestle.
