Multiple Wrestlers Reportedly “Waiting to Sign” With AEW

With multiple former WWE Superstars hitting free agency on July 23, some of them could be on their way to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), if the latest report is to be believed.

As noted previously, the Motor City Machine Guns, Aleister Black, Zoey Stark, Kairi Sane, and more entered free agency yesterday following the expiration of their three-month non-compete clauses.

Earlier today, Jake Jeremy of the Wrestling Observer reported that he has learned through sources that at least seven wrestlers are “waiting to be signed” by AEW. However, the report added that when those deals are expected to be locked in and who the wrestlers in question are is currently unknown. The report doesn’t specifically mention that talents who are waiting to lock in a deal with All Elite Wrestling are former WWE Superstars.

The report cited one source as claiming that there “may be more,” but they can only confirm seven personally. Jeremy further added that there could be a play to add more talent for the combined AEW-ROH roster in the coming days.

The report comes in the wake of AEW President Tony Khan stating during Redemption Media Call that he has been keeping a close eye on the free agency market.
