During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Superstar Nattie Neidhart discussed her late father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, finally being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019. Neidhart was inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside Nattie’s uncle, Bret Hart. Hart was infamously attacked and tackled by someone who jumped the barricade and rushed him, while Hart and Nattie were inducting Neidhart.

During Busted Open, Nattie also spoke about personally approaching former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon about Neidhart not being inducted into the Hall of Fame, noting an instance when she went to McMahon’s office when there wasn’t a huge line outside waiting to speak with him. Nattie explained (via WrestlingInc.com), “Ironically, nobody was around. There’s usually a lineup outside of Vince’s office.”

Nattie explained to McMahon that her father’s one wish before his passing was to be in the WWE Hall of Fame, and it was something that bothered him. According to Nattie, McMahon told her that he thought Neidhart was already in the Hall of Fame, and he agreed to Nattie’s request, asking if she wanted him to be inducted solo or with Bret Hart. According to Nattie, Neidhart’s favorite time in his career was when he was teaming with Bret Hart, and she wanted them to go in together as the Hart Foundation.

Reflecting on the chaos of the induction, with the man rushing over the barricade and attacking her uncle, Nattie stated, “All Bret wanted to do is give his love letter to my dad. He said, ‘I just want to make your dad proud. I want Jim to be so proud of us and proud of what we did.'”

After the attacker went after Bret Hart, Nattie recalled, “I ended up taking an armdrag over Bret. We got knocked down to the ground. All these wrestlers come swarming the ring.” However, she reminisced that what took place was a fashionable tribute to her father because of the “chaos” and “mayhem.” Nattie explained, “That was in the most Jim Neidhart fashion ever. Chaos, craziness, mayhem. I feel like my dad was having a little laugh from heaven because ‘f*** it, we’re gonna go out big.”

Despite the interruption from the attacker who rushed Hart, the 2019 induction ceremony continued. Hart finished his speech in honor of the late Neidhart.
