Nic Nemeth says that TNA Slammiversary allowed the company to pay off the vision that Tommy Dreamer set up before his exit from the company. Sunday night’s PPV saw Nemeth win the TNA World Championship from Mike Santana while The Hardys became World Tag Team Champions, Xia Brookside won the Knockouts Championship and more.

In addition to discussing his own match Nemeth spoke about the show as a whole on Busted Open Radio. He praised Dreamer, who exited TNA in mid-June, for setting up the show to deliver.

“What a great friggin’ night for TNA,” Dreamer said (per Wrestling Inc). “We got to [run] Tommy’s vision of the lead-up to this, we paid it off. He said a million times, he’s the coach and we gotta go run the plays on the field.”

Nemeth continued, “Start to finish, TNA absolutely delivered [Sunday] night and I got to watch and hear all of it.”

Dreamer, Tessa Blanchard, Steve Maclin, and a number of other high-profile names have left TNA in recent weeks. That includes Santana and Eric Young, the latter of whom confirmed his TNA exit today. Santana is said to have finished up with the company at Slammiversary and is not set for the TNA Impact tapings tonight and tomorrow.
