NJPW New Year Dash Results: New KOPW Provisional Champion, ZSJ Challenges Danielson

New Japan Pro Wrestling held their annual New Year Dash event today at Sumida Ward General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. It featured several newsworthy moments.
The first is that there is a new KOPW provisional champion. During the NJ Ranbo at Wrestle Kingdom, Taiji Ishimori, YOH, Toru Yano and Great-O-Khan all qualified for a scramble on this show. Ishimori won that to get the title.
Elsewhere, EVIL issued a challenge to NEVER Openweight champion Tama Tonga and cutting off his hair.
Finally, Zack Sabre Jr. challenged Bryan Danielson to a rematch of their bout at AEW WrestleDream.

* NJPW World Television Championship: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) def. Ryusuke Taguchi
* *Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) def. Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa
* Guerrillas of Destiny (Hikuleo & ELP) def. Young Blood (Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima). Chase Owens attacked GOD and challenged them for both sets (NJPW STRONG, IWGP) tag titles, revealing KENTA as his partner.
* House of Torture (Dick Togo, SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi & Ren Narita) def. Shota Umino, El Desperado, Master Wato, Tama Tonga, Tomoaki Honma, & Togi Makabe
* United Empire (Will Ospreay, Franceso Akira, TJP, HENARE, & Jeff Cobb) vs. Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors, Alex Coughlin, Gabe Kidd, Drilla Moloney, & David Finlay) ended in a no contest.
* Just 5 Guys (SANADA, TAKA Michinoku, Taichi, DOUKI, Yuya Uemura) def. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, & Tetsuya Naito). SANADA challenges Naito, who doesn’t respond.
* KOPW 2024 Championship 10-Minute Pinfall Scramble Match: Taiji Ishimori defeated Great-O-Khan, Toru Yano, & YOH to win the provisional title.
* TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr, Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste, & Mikey Nichols) def. Bryan Danielson, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, & Jon Moxley
