Backstage Note On Aaron Rourke Being Pulled From Limitless Wrestling Show

A new report has a bit of context on WWE EVOLVE Champion Aaron Rourke being pulled from Limitless Wrestling’s June 20th show. As reported last night, Limitless announced that Rourke was pulled from the show “due to a WWE contractual obligation.”
There was some speculation online that the move may have been related to Limitless Wrestling being added to MyAEW. However, Fightful Select has confirmed in their weekly Debunkathon report that this is not the case.
As was noted, a number of other WWE ID talent has been pulled from independent shows that weekend and it is speculated that an EVOLVE taping is set for June 20th, though that is not yet confirmed.
The report adds that promoters were told by AEW that there are no restrictions as to putting contracted talent from other promotions on their service, and one promoter noted that WWE ID appears to have the fewest number of restrictions of any type of contracted talent.
Limitless’ announcement that Rourke was being pulled had read:
“Breaking: Due to a WWE contractual obligation, Aaron Rourke will no longer be appearing for Limitless Wrestling on June 20th.
“As our wrestlers move up the ranks, this is the risk we run as an independent organization booking contracted talent.
“We’ll continue to take those risks to always bring the very best professional wrestling possible to Maine. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
