Note On Whether Nick Adlis Is Done In the Ring

Nick Aldis has not wrestled since he joined WWE, and a new report has a note on whether he’s done in the ring. Aldis has not wrestled since 2023, right before he joined WWE in his backstage role as producer and on-screen role as Smackdown General Manager. A fan question asked PWInsider whether Aldis has given up on wrestling completely or is injured.
Mike Johnson noted that Aldis is not injured and is not retired. It is simply a matter of WWE not deciding to use him in the ring.
Aldis has addressed the notion in the past. He told Chris Van Vliet in November of 2024 that he he did not view himself as retired and would like to wrestle again, noting:
“I would like to lace them up. I don’t care if it’s on a regular basis but I’ve earned it, once. I don’t know. If it was one more time, so be it. Like I said, I feel like I meet the criteria to be on that canvas at least once.
Nick Aldis’ last match was for Appalachian Championship Wrestling in July of 2023 in a five-way match for the then-vacant title. His last TV match was for TNA (then Impact) in July 2023.
