Note On Recent Return of Harry Smith to WWE, Original Plan For Him

As we previously reported, Davey Boy Smith Jr made his return to WWE before last week’s Smackdown, teaming with Austin Theory in a dark match. He wrestled under his real name of Harry Smith and it was noted that while he’s been back for months, it was kept quiet.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan for Smith was to make him a star in NXT UK. However, due to travel issues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it wasn’t feasible at the time.
