Note on Reasoning Behind Recent ‘Midnight Dreamer’ Video Posted by Tommy Dreamer on Social Media

As previously reported, former WWE Superstar Tommy Dreamer posted a video to social media teasing “The Midnight Dreamer.” PWInsider has an update with more details regarding the mysterious video.

PWInsider reports the video is part of an ongoing storyline for Adrenaline Championship Wrestling that got “lost in translation.” Previously, manager Josh Shernoff beat Dreamer and claims he retired the veteran wrestler.

However, during a promo at last night’s ACW event in Poughkeepsie, New York, a vignette played teasing The Midnight Dreamer’s arrival. So the video is part of an indie-wrestling storyline, similar to Dusty Rhodes and the Midnight Rider in the 1980s.

So this isn’t part of an angle where Tommy Dreamer is set to make a return to a bigger promotion such as TNA Wrestling or WWE.
