Note On Likely Recovery Time From Knee Surgery For El Hijo Del Vikingo
El Hijo del Vikingo is out of action after undergoing knee surgery, and a new report has a note on how like he’s likely to be on the shelf. As noted, the AAA star underwent surgery to fix an injury to his knee that was suffered when he was rehearsing a planned match on last week’s WWE NXT with EK Prosper.
The specifics on the nature of the injury have still not been reported. However, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vikingo will be out six to eight months.
Vikingo previously had surgery in 2024 after suffering a torn meniscus in his right knee and was out six months from that. This injury is to his left knee, as seen in several pics posted to his Instagram account.
Vikingo is the AAA Latin American Champion, which he won at AAA Noche de Los Grandes in late May. AAA has yet to make an announcement about the title’s fate.
On behalf of 411, our best wishes to El Hijo del Vikingo for a quick and full recovery.
