TNA reportedly expects positive changes backstage and on TV following Tommy Dreamer’s exit from the company. As you likely know, Dreamer exited his position in TNA last week. Dreamer had been working as an on-screen talent as well as the head of creative for the company. It had been reported that the ECW alumnus’ creative direction for the company had come under heavy scrutiny as of late.
Dreamer made comments on Busted Open Radio earlier this week where he said said that he tried to build a positive culture at TNA, but that it was going to change. The exact quote was, per SEScoops:
“It’s not my job anymore. I tried building a culture and I can’t worry about that anymore, because it is all gonna change, and I hope everyone realizes how much it’s gonna change.”
False Finish reported on Wednesday that multiple sources in TNA pushed back on Dreamer’s statements. The sources said that Dreamer didn’t want to build contenders and had control of who was pushed. It goes on to note that the believe in TNA is that the culture will change for the better and that the change was needed now that TNA is on AMC.
Dreamer has also come under fire online for past negative experiences that several independent talent had with him including Kennedi Hardcastle, Dani Jordyn, ROH star Carlie Bravo, and referee Dan Perch.
