Note On Walking Dead Easter Egg In Righteous Deletion On TNA Impact

Last night’s TNA Impact featured the Righteous Deletion, and the cinematic featured an easter egg from AMC’s The Walking Dead. As reported last night, The Broken Hardys defeated The Righteous in the cinematic match to retain their TNA World Tag Team Championships.

The match featured Jeff Hardy bringing back the TNA Immortal Championship after he emerged from the Lake of Reincarnation, and there was another prop with particular significance as Lucille, Negan’s bat from The Walking Dead, made an appearance. After the rest of the Hardy clan unleashed offense on Dutch, Broken Matt showed up with the bat and riffed on Negan’s infamous scene from the season six finale and seven seven premiere, where he used the bat to murder a couple of core cast members in Abraham Ford and Glenn. In the series, he bat was eventually destroyed although Negan has since received a new one in the spinoff series The Walking Dead: Dead City.

According to Fightful Select, Lucille was an actual replica from the show. The site added that according to sources, there are likely to be more AMC-related crossovers soon in TNA.
