Travis Scott was featured in several high-profile moments on WWE programming earlier this year. He was in the ring alongside The Rock at Elimination Chamber: Toronto when John Cena shockingly turned heel. At WrestleMania 41 Night Two, he came to the aid of Cena and helped the Franchise Player defeat Cody Rhodes and become a 17-time World Champion.

Scott was reportedly set to team up with Logan Paul and John Cena for a tag team match against Cody Rhodes and The Usos at Money in the Bank. However, that never happened, and the rapper essentially vanished from the company. Travis and WWE reportedly had a falling out, leading to the company scrapping its plans with the rapper. Recently, Cena appeared on Chris Van Vliet’s INSIGHT podcast, where he was asked about what could have been with The Rock and Travis Scott. The 48-year-old said, “Who cares? It doesn’t matter. We can talk about what could have been until the cows come home.”

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer touched upon this topic. He claimed that several people in WWE “talked very negatively” about Scott, adding that the split was “bad” and that no one wanted to discuss him.

With plans for a tag match involving Cena and Scott scrapped, The Last Real Champion ultimately tagged with Logan Paul to take on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. R-Truth’s shocking return just days after he revealed that he was being let go by WWE helped Cody pin Cena and set up their eventual Street Fight bout for SummerSlam Night Two.
