Notes From Last Night’s First WWE Raw of 2026: Y2J Chants, Attendance Update

– WWE Raw celebrated its first anniversary on Netflix with last night’s episode, and PWInsider has more live notes and details from last night’s show. According to the report, last night’s show was very close to being a sellout, if not officially sold out.

Additionally, PWInsider reports that there was a massive line outside the Barclays Center when the box office opened for the evening, so the show had a sizable walkup crowd. WrestleTix reported yesterday that the show had 13,224 tickets out with 288 tickets available.

– According to PWInsider, there was a sizable set of “Y2J” chants at one point during Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri. Despite rumors and talk of Chris Jericho possibly appearing at last night’s Raw, he was not on the show. It’s also unknown if the wrestler has left AEW and signed with WWE. As noted, Jericho is still currently listed on the AEW roster page.

– PWInsider reports that a Brooklyn-themed John Cena t-shirt was available last night at the Barclays Center for Monday Night Raw. Additionally, in terms of merchandise for the WWE Raw and Stranger Things, WWE Shop is now selling Stranger Things-inspired t-shirts for Monday Night Raw, Penta, Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, John Cena, and Jey Uso. – Lastly, PWInsider reports that CM Punk will be in New York City throughout the week to conduct media rounds to promote his new movie, Night Patrol, which arrives in theaters later this month. Punk successfully defended his World Heavyweight Title against Bron Breakker in the main event of last night’s Raw.

Last night’s RAW saw Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky (champions) defeat the Kabuki Warriors (Empress of Tomorrow Asuka & Kairi Sane) with The Moonsault to Asuka to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship as new champions were crowned, Becky Lynch defeat Maxxine Dupri to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Liv Morgan defeat Lyra Valkyria with the Oblivion and pinfall, and CM Punk defeat Bron Breakker with the GTS for the pin to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Ring General Gunther, Stephanie Vaquer, Bayley, Dragon Lee, AJ Styles, Roxanne Perez, Austin Theory, Paul Heyman, and Rey Mysterio also appeared on the show. The WWE Universe moves ahead to Friday’s Smackdown and the Royal Rumble as the road to WrestleMania continues.
