Team NXT went on the attack against TNA again, assaulting the competitors after the main event of TNA Turning Point. Friday night’s TNA+ event saw Steve Maclin and Mike Santana take on Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth.
Santana did not initially come out for the match, but he arrived at the arena during the bout. Santana rushed to the ring and tagged in, eventually picking up the win with Spin the Block to Kazarian.
After the match, Nemeth considered cashing in his Call Your Shot trophy on Kazarian. However, the NXT team that attacked on Thursday’s Impact came out again. They laid out Nemeth, Maclin, and Santana, before taking down Kazarian.
Officials came out to break it up, including Santino Marella. However, Brooks Jensen attacked Santana from behind. Team NXT also laid out Sinner & Saint and The Hardys when they tried to get involved.
It was revealed earlier in the show that TNA was “investigating” the attack. NXT GM Ava denied involvement, and Shawn Michaels said he was looking into it as well.
