Paul Burchill On Why He Returned To the Ring, Wants a Different Legacy
Paul Burchill made his return to the ring last year, and he weighed in why he came back in a new interview. The WWE alumnus made his return at WCPBTW The Great Fall Bash 2 in September and worked an NWA Powerrr taping in November, and he spoke with Under the Ring for a new interview where he said he wanted to change how is legacy in the business is seen.
“Well, I’m a father of four, so my kids obviously come into it and you’ve got to think about anytime that you’re getting back into something, you’ve got to think about how it’s going to impact all of that,” Burchill said (per Fightful). “What it came down to was, I’ve taken really good care of myself, I’m healthy and I’m fit and everything.”
He continued, “I kind of looked at my time in WWE, I didn’t look back with a lot of — I guess pride is the wrong word, but I felt like if I had the opportunity to maybe make a different legacy for myself in wrestling, something I can look back on and be even more proud of, I should probably take it. So, I kind of toyed with the idea of maybe dipping my toe back in and see how it felt, and everything felt great, and it just kinda went from there.”
